The Sakai Project is a community source software development effort to design, build and deploy a new Collaboration and Learning Environment (CLE) for higher education. The Project began in January, 2004. On April 11th, 2006, John Gorrono posted a SCORM 2004 Runtime Tool in limited Alpha release. This is exciting news for the academic community.
